The aim of the Operations Research Society of India (ORSI) is to promote the education and applications of Operations Research in the day to day environment in Business, Industry and other organisations. ORSI was founded in 1957 and the Ahmedabad chapter is one of the oldest chapters of the country. Since its conception, it is associated with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and involved in activities such as conferences, discussions, workshops for teachers as well as for students of Operations Research, etc..
